Jay S Franklin


Jay S. Franklin draws upon his background in chemistry and his previous career as a research & development scientist at Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to assist his clients in a variety of technologies and industries, including mechanical, chemical, and medical device arts.  His practice focuses on the preparation, filing and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications, including reissues and re-examinations.  Additionally, Jay assists with the preparation of patentability, product clearance, infringement, non-infringement and invalidity opinions for clients ranging from single inventors and medium size companies to Fortune 500 corporations.


Jay earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Utah in 1998 and a J.D. degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2002 (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center).  As a law student, Jay was the Managing Editor for Risk: Health, Safety and Environment, the official journal of the Risk Assessment and Policy Association.  Jay is a registered patent agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and started his practice as a member of Davis & Bujold, P.L.L.C in 2002.
